Theatre
As a freshman in high school, Lily noticed a need for theatre opportunities for elementary aged students in her hometown. In response to this, Lily created a plan to engage young performers at her local elementary school by creating an after-school program focused on presenting Beauty and the Beast, Jr. which she then produced and directed with the help of her third grade teacher. That summer, she created a program in coordination with a local theatre coach to provide week-long camps for elementary aged students focusing on improv, which ended with a “Who’s Line” style performance, and musical theatre, which ended with a cabaret where elementary aged students could develop their skills and showcase their work. Quickly after moving to Wyoming in pursuit of her undergraduate degree, she found interest in the need for theatre programs in rural and low-income communities across the country. Throughout her career, Lily is committed to bridging the gap between rural and low-income communities and performing arts, creating accessibility to all people.
Creating theatre that is accessible to all people.
